So, when creating his own bakery business, it made sense that it would be named after him. The idea of Tin Man Sweets started when Justin baked Christmas Cookies with his grandma, thirty years ago. At the time, our niece was very young and couldn't say, “Uncle Justin”, so Justin was lovingly referred to as, “Uncle Tin.” Twelve years later, he is still called, “Uncle Tin”. When we were in the beginning stages of creating our business, we were brainstorming about our name. ![]() The classroom seats up to 20 people and can be rented for small meetings.Ī lot of people ask where we came up with our name. Their new space also has a classroom where they will be offering decorating classes and Ladies Nights Out. Today their location provides fresh Sweets daily as well as a selection of other things including Espresso, Frappes, Smoothies, Gelato, Chocolates, Cupcakes, Cakes, Breakfast Treats, Special Desserts such as tarts and entremets and so much more! They offer custom cakes and wedding cakes as well. They finally opened their brand new retail location In May of 2020. They had to put their dream on hold for just a little longer. In March 2020, they were set to reopen their brand new location in Creekside Plaza. While it was a great location, they needed room to expand. In 2017, they moved to Main Street in Zelienople and shared a space with a Restaurant. They have received accolades including Chef's Choice and People's Choice Awards at both the Glass Slipper Ball and Cocktails and Cuisines. During that time they won many awards including placing in the top 3 for Pittsburgh's Best Cupcake and Pittsburgh's Best Chocolate Chip Cookie. Their first shop was located in Evans City, PA and they were there for 5 years. They have been creating delicious treats since 2011 and moved into their first retail location in August of 2012.
